Program Overview

Visitors to industrial, construction, manufacturing, and logistics facilities face the same hazards as the workers who operate there — but without any of the training, familiarity, or situational awareness that regular workers develop over time. A client walking through a construction site, an auditor visiting a chemical plant, or a parent attending a school open day at a manufacturing facility is at immediate risk if they do not receive a proper safety orientation before entry. Occupational health and safety legislation in most countries extends an employer's duty of care to all persons on their premises — including visitors, contractors, and members of the public. Failure to adequately orient and protect visitors can result in regulatory liability, civil claims, and — most importantly — genuine harm to guests who trusted the organization's hospitality and professionalism.
