Program Overview
Rigging and signalling are two of the most critical safety-sensitive roles in any lifting operation. The rigger who selects and attaches the sling, assesses the load, and communicates with the crane operator literally holds human lives in their hands. A wrong hitch, an overloaded sling, or a misunderstood signal can result in a dropped load, a crane overturn, or a fatal crushing incident. ICLM's Rigging and Signalling Training develops technically competent, safety-focused riggers and signal persons who bring professionalism and precision to every lift.
No lifting operation is safer than its weakest link — and in most operations, that link is the rigging. Even the most capable crane operator cannot compensate for an improperly slung load, an overloaded sling, or a signal person who does not know the correct hand signals. Rigging and signalling failures account for a significant proportion of all lifting-related fatalities. ICLM's training closes this critical skills gap.
