Program Overview
Cranes, hoists, derricks, telehandlers, and other lifting machines are indispensable in construction, manufacturing, ports, and oil & gas operations. When these machines are not properly inspected and maintained, the consequences can be catastrophic — collapsed cranes, dropped loads, and fatalities. ICLM's Lifting Machines Inspection Training develops competent inspectors who can identify defects, assess equipment fitness for use, and prevent lifting machine failures.
Lifting machine failures rarely occur without prior warning signs. Wire rope fraying, structural cracks, brake wear, and hydraulic leaks are detectable by a trained inspector long before they cause an incident. Regulatory frameworks in most jurisdictions mandate periodic formal inspections by competent persons and daily pre-use checks by operators. ICLM's training develops both competencies.
Pre-Use Checks
Daily inspection discipline and hazard spotting basics.
Control Principles
Safe methods, sequencing, and decision making in operations.
Emergency Response
Incident communication and immediate response actions.
