Half-Day Training

Practical half-day certification program focused on operational safety, compliance confidence, and site-level risk control.

Program Overview

Ask any experienced safety professional what the simplest, most cost-effective tool for preventing workplace accidents is, and the answer is almost always the same: consistent, high-quality daily safety briefings and toolbox talks. Conducted properly, a five-to-ten minute pre-shift briefing can flag a critical new hazard, reinforce a forgotten safe practice, or catch a near-miss before it becomes a fatality. Conducted poorly - robotically read from a laminated card, rushed through before the team disperses - it accomplishes nothing except creating a false sense of compliance.
ICLM's Daily Safety Briefings and Toolbox Talks Training exists to close that gap. This program teaches supervisors, team leaders, and safety officers not just what to say, but how to say it in ways that genuinely engage a diverse workforce, make safety information memorable, and drive real behavioural change on the ground. Because the best safety policy in the world is worthless if the person delivering the morning briefing can't get workers to put down their phones and actually listen.

The training draws on adult learning principles, practical communication techniques, and real case studies from construction, oil & gas, and manufacturing environments to develop confident, effective safety communicators at every level of the organization. Participants learn to select the right topic for each day's conditions, structure briefings for maximum engagement, handle worker questions and challenges, and document briefings correctly for compliance and continuous improvement purposes.
